An advisory practice in Boston has broken away from its previous firm to set up its own RIA, called Civic Financial.
Civic chief executive Scott DeSantis told Citywire his team left wealth and insurance giant Northwestern Mutual, where they oversaw about $1bn in assets. DeSantis dropped his registration with Northwestern Mutual last month, according to a filing obtained through the BrokerCheck database.
Civic Financial, which DeSantis co-owns alongside president Grant Parisi, chief operating officer Nick Allsop and partner Daniel Monaghan, per a Form ADV brochure, has chosen Altruist as its custodian and technology provider.
