Led by Bradley Bruce, a veteran of nearly 33 years at Merrill, the four-person team has launched mForce Capital in Fort Worth, Texas. At Merrill, the group was known as Bruce Wealth Management Group.

By Jake Martin, AdvisorHub – Raymond James Financial’s sweetened deals for experienced brokers in its employee division are paying off, even without matching the high-water mark offers of some rivals, Chief Executive Paul Reilly said on Monday.
The St. Petersburg, Florida-based firm’s hiring in 2021 is already “exceeding” targets that it set out at the start of the year, which “weren’t small,” and is ahead of last year’s pace, Reilly said during Morgan Stanley’s virtual U.S. Financials, Payments and CRE Conference on Monday.

Matt Tucker, who has spent his entire 25-year career with UBS and its predecessor PaineWebber, will join Bowersock Capital Partners, which is headquartered in Lawrence, Kan. Tucker will open a Bowersock office in nearby Overland Park, Kan. He managed around $200m in assets while at UBS, according to Sanctuary.

Vardhan Wealth Management is led by founder Monish Verma, who spent 12 years at UBS as senior vice president of wealth management and 14 years before that at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney as vice president of investments. Joining him at Vardhan are Renee Wahl as director of operations and Kory Frost as director of planning and strategy. The group had a book of $375m at UBS, according to Summit.
Louis Diamond Quoted – By Dina Hampton, FinancialPlanning – Greg Clifford, founder and CEO of the Clifford Group in Newton, Massachusetts, says he “grew up” at Merrill Lynch, gaining nods as a Forbes Top Next-Generation Wealth Advisor in 2018 and Best-in-State Next Generation Wealth Advisor in 2019. But as Clifford passed the decade mark at Merrill, the idea of breaking away planted itself in his mind and stayed there.
