Three indicators that serve as an advisor’s calling card—their book of business, clients, and the sum total of assets and revenue generated, explains Mindy Diamond, the president and CEO of Morristown, N.J.-based Diamond Consultants, an advisory recruiting firm in its 22nd year of operation. “(Firms) are essentially getting to know the advisor more and understanding him or her as a person, not just their book of business,” Diamond says.
UBS is increasing its recruiting efforts, offering top advisors deals of up to 550% of annual revenue while targeting experienced private bankers.
Advisors at some of the largest firms in the country are leaving, and not in a trickle. In 2024 alone, more than 9,600 experienced advisors changed firms, according to industry data from Diamond Consultants.
