Commonwealth Financial Network, a hybrid RIA and independent-broker dealer, recruited a group of advisors from Edward Jones who oversee nearly $1 billion in client assets, according to the independent broker-dealer.
The group, now operating as Cedarwood Financial Partners, includes Dylan Ripley, Todd Vincent, Angel Santiago, Jeremy Self, Alex Murphy, Frank Shultz, Tim Hall, Troy Vincent, and David Boothby. They operate from several locations in Texas and New York. The advisors made their moves separately in late November and early December, according to BrokerCheck, a public database maintained by industry self-regulator Finra.
Ripley said they wanted to transition to the independent advisor sector to have more control over their practice. “From access to more investment options and integrated technology to control over how we serve our clients and charge for those services, Commonwealth was the obvious choice,” he said.
A spokesperson for Edward Jones declined to comment.
