RAYMOND JAMES WELCOMES $1.9 MILLION TEAM FROM UBS FINANCIAL SERVICES IN CHARLOTTE, N.C.
Raymond James recently recruited Gene Marx, senior vice president, investments, and Catherine Hunter, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and financial advisor, in Charlotte, N.C., according to Ed Ferguson, Charlotte branch manager at Raymond James & Associates (RJA) – the traditional employee broker/dealer of Raymond James Financial, Inc. (NYSE-RJF). The team operates as Marx Wealth Management of Raymond James.

Marx and Hunter come to Raymond James from UBS Financial Services, where they managed more than $227 million in client assets and had $1.9 million in annual revenue.

A 23-year wealth management industry veteran, Marx has expertise in several areas, including risk management, investments, retirement planning and estate planning. He worked at Smith Barney for 14 years and most recently worked at UBS Financial Services, where he served as a financial advisor for eight and a half years prior to joining Raymond James. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received his MBA from Tulane University.
Hunter has been in the industry for more than 17 years and specializes in financial, retirement and estate planning, income strategy and college funding matters. Prior to joining Raymond James, she worked at Smith Barney as a registered marketing associate and later joined UBS Financial Services as an investment associate. She graduated from the University of Georgia and earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation through the Queens University Financial Planner Program.
