A four-adviser team managing $1.25 billion at Merrill Lynch has left the wirehouse to form Amplius Wealth Advisors in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.
The new firm has affiliated with Dynasty Financial Partners.
Formerly known as The Liebman Marks Group, Amplius Wealth Advisors consists of eight professionals, including four advisers: partners Samuel Liebman, Matthew D. Liebman and Aaron Marks, and Patrick J. Swift.
UBS is increasing its recruiting efforts, offering top advisors deals of up to 550% of annual revenue while targeting experienced private bankers.
Advisors at some of the largest firms in the country are leaving, and not in a trickle. In 2024 alone, more than 9,600 experienced advisors changed firms, according to industry data from Diamond Consultants.
