NewEdge Wealth has added a Nashville-based wealth practice formerly affiliated with UBS.
The team is led by wealth manager James Nichols. His registration formally moved on June 12 to NewEdge Wealth, an RIA focused on ultra-high net worth families, family offices and institutional clients.
Nichols will now serve as a principal of a new NewEdge Wealth office in downtown Nashville, specializing in advising entrepreneurs and business owners before and after liquidity events. Vice president of client service Erin Thomas and analyst of client service Lena Schelzig have moved to NewEdge with him.
An assets under management figure for Nichols’ team was not immediately available. However, Forbes reported as part of a 2023 list that the team had $285m in custodied assets.
