FINRA is once again putting the topic of broker recruitment packages on the table. According to a notice the regulatory organization posted to its site yesterday, next month’s Board meeting will include consideration of a rule change that would require brokers to disclose details of their recruitment compensation packages to their clients if they were to move from one firm to another. UBS is increasing its recruiting efforts, offering top advisors deals of up to 550% of annual revenue while targeting experienced private bankers.
Advisors at some of the largest firms in the country are leaving, and not in a trickle. In 2024 alone, more than 9,600 experienced advisors changed firms, according to industry data from Diamond Consultants.
