If you can make it in the Big Apple, you can really kill it in a place with low rents, minimal traffic and a bounty of free Vitamin D.
All three factors helped entice Dynasty Financial Partners to move its headquarters from New York City to St. Petersburg, Fla., RIABiz has learned.
The move sounds unsettling, until Penney’s loyalty to the largely New York-based staff gets figured in, according to Louis Diamond, principal of Diamond Consultants in New York.
“I’d be worried if they were shutting down New York,” he says. “They would lose people including a lot of the superstars, and New York is part of their identity and brand. It’s important for them to be here.”
