Honest and authentic with extensive industry knowledge and a unique ability to listen and respond as a fiduciary.
As the first consultant to join Diamond Consultants 17 years ago, Cathy’s entrepreneurial nature was intrigued by what Mindy was building and embraced the opportunity to use her business skills and core life values in what was a young and growing organization.
Cathy’s success stems from a desire to understand what is at the heart of an advisor’s goals, and counsel them according to what they want to accomplish. Her long-standing track record includes successfully transitioning advisors from the wirehouses and regional firms, as well as those in the independent space with complex business models. Drawing from her experience in the industry, she has the ability to make recommendations that many advisors would not have considered on their own.
At the heart of her persona is a life driven by the tenet of “treating people the way you would like to be treated,” and acting with honesty and authenticity. Such traits, plus extensive industry knowledge and a unique ability to listen and respond as a fiduciary, is what advisors and clients connect with – and appreciate – and have allowed Cathy to build relationships based on trust, personal connection and expertise.
Prior to her career in recruiting and counseling financial advisors, Cathy worked in the bio-medical field, and later hospital administration. As administrator for Shriners Hospitals for Children, she developed and built a materials management system for the organization. Cathy also served as director of purchasing at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. Both roles afforded her the opportunity to hone her business and analytical skills, including operations, administration and contract negotiations.
This University of Michigan alumna earned a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction.
A dedicated community activist and a successful fundraiser, Cathy was instrumental in electing the first and only write-in school board member in the state of NJ. She loves to spend her free time with family and friends, and enjoys golf, visiting museums, reading and gourmet cooking. Plus, Cathy not only practices Aikido, she also owns and operates an Aikido dojo.
