A legal and business background combined with over a decade of experience in the wealth advisory space.
Already a successful lawyer and litigator, the growth of Diamond Consultants presented a new career opportunity for Howard in 2005. As someone whose role was to counsel and advocate on behalf of his clients, he seamlessly transitioned to a role of managing an organization that also counsels and advocates on their clients’ behalf. Yet his legal background has certainly not been put to rest—he regularly advises on contractual agreements, as well as regulatory and legal issues for the firm and their clients.
Given his wide range of knowledge, Howard is frequently quoted in the financial press on recruiting trends and issues and writes for a number of financial publications, as well as Diamond’s own blog for financial advisors. He has authored guidebooks on recruiting and onboarding, as well as several white papers on issues related to managing and growing advisory firms. His expertise is also in demand at industry events, where he often speaks on topics involving recruiting and organizational growth.
Howard graduated from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University with a Juris Doctor degree. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and traveling with his family.
