LPL Financial announced that it has added a financial advisor duo from Synovus Securities, where they oversaw a total of about $400 million in advisory, brokerage, and retirement plan assets. LPL’s latest additions are advisors Joe Young and Ryne Stokes, who have launched Columbus, Georgia–based Servant Path Wealth Partners in conjunction with their move. Their practice is faith-based and offers services including investment management, insurance, tax efficiency, retirement planning, estate planning, and charitable giving, according to the announcement. The advisors join Linsco, LPL’s employee advisor channel, per the announcement. They chose to move to LPL “to have the control to operate on our terms with our own branding,” Stokes said in a statement accompanying the announcement.
LPL’s platform “provides a wealth of strategic resources and innovative technology that will help us expand our value proposition to clients,” Stokes added. Young had been with Synovus since entering the industry in 2005, according to his BrokerCheck record. Stokes, also a Synovus lifer, had been with the firm since 2014, per BrokerCheck.
