The $13 billion hybrid RIA has hired Kevin Taube away from the wirehouse to work in its Manchester, N.H. office. Taube had worked for Merrill Lynch since 2006, running a practice that he estimated to be 99% fee-based.
He specializes in advising business professionals – with a tilt towards employees in the money management industry.
‘We sort of had reached a different stage where we’re really geared towards doing wealth management first,’ said Taube, who joins with one support staffer. ‘We wanted to really make sure we could protect the interests of our current clients to control how we grow going forward.’
