RIA minority investment firm Elevation Point has staked a breakaway UBS team, marking the sixth deal Jim Dickson’s fast-growing business has made since its launch a year ago.
The minority stake of an undisclosed amount is in the newly formed Family Office Partners, a 12-person team based in Lafayette, La. which oversees roughly $2.5bn in client assets. Family Office Partners was founded by the trio of Benjamin Domingue, Shawna Prejean and Travis Frayard, who were all long-time employees at the wirehouse giant.
Family Office Partners works with a mix of founders, entrepreneurs, ultra-high net worth families and family offices, with a focus on business owners and business transitions. The firm’s services beyond investment management include private company transactions, exit planning, liquidity planning, tax strategy and estate structuring.
