Going independent is a big decision. For Adam Goldstein, it became a foregone conclusion. When the Arizona advisor – named Best-in-State Wealth Advisor by Forbes in 2020 – learned about LPL Financial’s new breakaway solution, Strategic Wealth Services, he knew he had found something intriguing. A latecomer in his team’s search, the model offered the support he was used to at his previous firm, where he was a W-2 employee, as well as new levels of autonomy and ownership.
Goldstein realized that while he thought (and had always been told) he had access to the best of everything at his previous firm, he had never actually examined that claim. When he did, he found “the best of everything” could be better.
