Wells Fargo reeled in four separate advisors who managed almost $1 billion in combined assets from UBS Wealth Management USA and JPMorgan Chase & Co., according to a spokesperson for the hiring firm.
In the largest of the moves, Brian T. Whitney joined Wells’ private client group on Friday in Los Angeles, according to the spokesperson. He produced almost $1.7 million in annual revenue from $400 million in assets, the spokesperson said.
Whitney joined UBS in 1993 after a six-month stint at Oppenheimer & Co., according to BrokerCheck. He ran a practice at the Swiss-owned brokerage unit called the Executive Financial Group along with a client associate, according to his former firm website.
